My little Dragon Friend

... he blows fire... He's so damn cool :)

I think i first developed a love of dragons when i was 5yrs old. I used to love Petes Dragon... i so wanted my own pet dragon, but one that could fly like Falcore from A Neverending Story, another influence for my love of dragons.

i've always preferred pictures that depict them as friendly creatures that could live in harmony with humanity rather than the vicious dragons that are so often slayed by knights in stories... i HATE those dragon slaying knights!

My perfect world is something like that of Pern and the dragonriders in Anne McCaffrey's novels. It cobines a love of dragons and an iterest in Medieval culture. I often wonder what it would have been like to live in society back then, the movies and books give it such a romatic fantasy feel... but i imagine that it was so much worse than that, it would have been such as struggle if you werent wealthy or nobility. With no technology or some of the simplest things that we take for granted today... like toilets and toilet paper, supermarkets and shops that are open 24/7, cars, planes, being able to instantly contact anyone anywhere in the world in less than a minitue! I could go on and on and on!..... OOOH CHOCOLATE!
